Our proud heritage
The success of our group can be traced back to the 1950s and the heritage of Tindle Newspapers Ltd, which was built upon a sustained focus on excellence and customer service.
After our founder Sir Ray Tindle invested his demob payment from wartime service in purchasing his first newspaper, the Tooting & Balham Gazette, Tindle Newspapers Ltd grew to own more than 200 local titles.
One of the largest privately-owned regional newspaper companies in the UK, the success of Tindle Newspapers Ltd was centred around ultra local content and advertising, with a strong presence in the communities served by each news brand.
